After following the steps of van Gogh and Monet in France for the 150th anniversary of impressionism, Erin Hanson returned to her Oregon studio, inspired and ready to put brush to canvas. This journey inspired her 2024 Reflections of the Seine 2024 Collection, in which she exhibited works like Reflections on the Seine and Water Hues, pictured below.

Now, Erin is preparing to place the next piece in the puzzle: a trip to the Netherlands in the fall of 2026. The Netherlands is not only van Gogh’s home country but also the location of The Van Gogh Museum, which houses the world’s most extensive collection of Vincent van Gogh’s paintings, letters, and drawings.
Just as she did with her journey along the Seine River in France, Erin invites her fans and collectors to join her on a 7-day cruise, starting in Amsterdam and traveling down the Rhine River to Basel, Switzerland.
It’s an extraordinary opportunity to witness iconic landscapes and artwork firsthand, gain new insight into Erin Hanson's creative process, and be part of an unforgettable adventure. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to see Erin paint live. During this demonstration, you will be able to ask questions and bid on the demo painting.
Booking is now open. You reserve your spot for this 2026 adventure here. Space is limited.
This 2026 autumnal adventure will begin in van Gogh's native country, the Netherlands, where art and culture-related activities abound. The cruise will then set sail with stops including Cologne, Rüdensheim, and Ludwigshafen, Germany; Strasbourg, France; and Basel, Switzerland. Guests will be invited to join Erin Hanson on a series of excursions and special activities.
We hope to offer guided excursions to the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Because this trip is more than a year away, we have to wait to confirm plans at this time.
Each day's activities will be infused with the magic of the region's fall color and offer a unique chance to experience sweeping views, fairytale castles, and pastoral sights with the queen of landscapes, Erin Hanson.

With gorgeous twin-balcony staterooms to allow you all of the light and views you need, there is no way you will miss the incredible European fall foliage, fairytale castles, and other idyllic sights.
The award-winning cuisine will enliven your tastebuds, while lavish lounges and a sun-deck pool lightens every traveler’s mood.

About Erin
ERIN HANSON has been painting in oils since she was 8 years old. As a teenager, she apprenticed at a mural studio where she worked on 40-foot-long paintings while selling art commissions on the side. After being told it was too hard to make a living as an artist, she got her degree in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley. Afterward, Erin became a rock climber at Red Rock Canyon, Nevada. Inspired by the colorful scenery she was climbing, she decided to return to her love of painting and create one new painting every week.
She has stuck to that decision, becoming one of the most prolific artists in history, with over 3,000 oil paintings sold to eager collectors. Erin Hanson’s style is known as "Open Impressionism" and is taught in art schools worldwide. With millions of followers, Hanson has become an iconic, driving force in the rebirth of impressionism, inspiring thousands of other artists to pick up the brush.
