I captured this image of multi-colored poppies while I was visiting Sequim to explore the lavender fields. I loved how bright the poppies looked against the dark purple and blue of the lavender. About the Painting: Erin Hanson had always wanted to paint lavender fields, so on her way to an art show in Bellevue, WA, she drove up to Sequim, a northwestern paradise famous for its lavender fields. This painting captures the natural beauty of its cultivated lands.
