Coming from the West Coast, it was disorienting to see a sunrise coming over the horizon at Acadia National Park in Maine. The angular, rocky cliffs and rounded boulders caught the warm red and orange light of the rising sun. This painting was inspired by my travels to Maine last year, exploring Acadia National Park and the wide open landscapes northwest of the park.
