I can't pass up the opportunity to paint a dramatic skyscape when I have the chance! This painting was inspired by my explorations this spring through Texas Hill Country. The buttery yellow color of the sky was too tempting not to paint. I like to use loose, impressionsitic brush strokes to convey the sense of time passing yet somehow magically held still for a moment in an oil painting.
